The City Council of Brandenburg an der Havel

In Brandenburg an der Havel the City Council consists of 47 members. In addition to the 46 city councillors, elected for a term of five years, the Mayor is included as a voting member on the city council.

The city council have elected the chairman and deputies from among themselves and formed factions.

Management committees have been formed in preparation for their decisions and to control the administration.

The meetings of the Assembly and its committees are public, although the public may be excluded for certain parts of meetings.
