Security Centre

 

Safety and order in our city are an integral part of its appeal. For this reason the nation's first joint police and office of public order security centre was opened in the city of Brandenburg an der Havel.

This central point in Steinstraße 66/67 allows citizens and guests of the city direct contact on the theme of order and security. At the same time, this is the origin of all checks made by the police and office of public order in the city centre.

The aim of this institution is to increase order and security and enhance the subjective feeling of safety in the population.


 
 

Citizens Telephone Service

Telephone service in the security centre of the city of Brandenburg an der Havel is open Monday - Friday from 08:00 - 20:00, and on Saturdays from 09:00 - 16:00.
After these hours and on Sundays and public holidays an answering machine receives inquiries and information. You can reach the staff of the office of public order on the Citizens Telephone Service: (03381) 58 32 58.

 

Offence and misdemeanour reporting

In the front office of the security centre you can present evidence, submit complaints and report offences. If required, this is also possible in a confidential environment. Our employees of the office of public order and the police are at your disposal during the opening times.

 

General guidance and information service

The staff of the Security Centre will be happy to provide information on relevant topics from statutes and laws, such as:

  • General questions about the local laws (lex loci)
  • Information on the city regulations
  • Information on keeping dogs and walking
  • Fire and burning of waste
  • House numbering
  • Use of garden equipment
  • Nature conservation
  • Lost property

These issues represent just a fraction of our information, we will also be pleased to answer any questions on: "where do I do what in the administration", and support you in choosing the right contact.

 

Complaints management

Active complaints management provides important evidence of strengths and weaknesses in our work. Through the correct use of references and complaints, we want to collect feedback on our work to use for constant improvement. The aim is to increase our service quality through rapid resolution of all citizens concerns.
